The production is based on the series of children's novels Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events and the 2004 film of the same name.


The story presents the fate of the Baudelaire siblings - Violet, Klaus and Sunny, whose parents are killed in a fire. Three orphans are taken under the wing of the terrifying Uncle Olaf, who has a sinister plan for his children. A diabolical relative decides to kill them and then claim their inheritance.


Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events is a humorous arcade game in which the user takes control of one of the siblings and tries to thwart Olaf's efforts at all costs. To this end, he fights with encountered opponents, solves puzzles, constructs fancy inventions (e.g. a rocket backpack) and avoids traps set by an evil uncle. Each of the heroes has a different set of skills, thanks to which the gameplay becomes more diverse.


The game features locations known from books and films, including Olaf's gloomy mansion and Uncle Monty's maze of hedges.
