Shaun White Skateboarding is a sports game inspired by the Tony Hawk series. The game features the titular Shaun White, but he is not the main character, but rather a guest in the plot.

The action takes place in the gloomy city of New Harmony, controlled by a totalitarian organization called the Ministry - this world resembles the realities known from the novel "1984" by George Orwell. The player, performing spectacular tricks on a skateboard, can bring life and color to the city. Stylish riding on city structures, roofs, rails and ramps unlocks new districts.

The game world is partially open - you can ride or walk freely, but access to new areas is gained gradually by completing specific tasks.
