Runaway: A Twist of Fate is the third installment in the series, which also includes games such as A Road Adventure and The Dream of the Turtle. In the third title of this series of games, the player gets to know the ending of the mysterious adventures of the Brian and Gina duo and helps them to solve the mysterious threads.

Runaway: A Twist of Fate, however, is not only a continuation, because the plot of the game was prepared in such a way that a player who had no previous contact with previous titles could find themselves in it.

The story begins with the death of Brian Basco in mysterious circumstances on the grounds of a psychiatric hospital, and more specifically on the day of his funeral. Basco ended up there because, after losing his memory, he was accused of murder and, as a consequence, was ordered to be insane. The plot of the game created in this intriguing way allows you to play the role of not only a nice character studying physics, but also his charming partner Gina.

The game is equipped with a personalized hint system. When the player finds himself in a situation from which he will not be able to get out on his own, he will receive a set of tips, which, however, are not ready-made solutions to a given problem, and are only intended to direct him towards solving the puzzle.
