Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is a strategy game released in 2001 by Inforgrames. The game was released for Macintosh and PC (Windows).

Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is an iconic real-time strategy game combining adventure and tactical elements. The action of Desperados takes place in the Wild West, the players lead a team of six cowboys headed by a gunslinger John Cooper.


Each of the other characters has different types of skills. Our team includes an explosives expert, a doctor who is a cold-blooded, precise killer, a cute poker player who can flirt with our enemies, and an unpredictable thug. Before them are 25 missions related to the main story, in which the player has to think logically, set ambushes and face over 20 different types of enemies.


The gameplay uniquely combines stealth, action and tactics, so success depends primarily on assigning tasks correctly. The first 6 missions are a tutorial that introduces players to the game mechanics and explains how they work. The action takes place in locations typical of the Wild West, such as abandoned cities, military forts, gold mines, salons, prisons and caves. In combat, we use classic weapons, ranging from bare fists and knives, through revolvers and shotguns, to dynamite and a powder barrel.
