Dungeon Keeper is a strategy game released in 1997 by Tec Toy Indústria de Brinquedos. The game was released for Macintosh and PC (DOS / Windows).

We all associate the fairytale theme of a good king who does only good things and performs heroic deeds. In games, we usually manage heroic characters fighting evil. As one of the first games, Dungeon Keeper breaks this stereotype and allows us to play the role of an evil ruler of the underworld, who instead of being a hero - eliminates them.


The game mechanics are pure RTS, with a little RPG. We create units, collect resources and dig tunnels to the next chambers. What adds to the unique character of this production is the plot in which we can eventually be the bad one. Over 20 missions are waiting for us. In addition, for its time, the game was very well implemented in terms of graphics, it used 3D accelerators and allowed us, e.g. to take control of a given creature and control it from a first-person perspective.
