True Crime: New York City is an action game released in 2005 by Activision Publishing. The game was released for PC (Windows), GameCube, PlayStation and XBox.


In True Crime: New York City we play the role of a policeman who was a criminal until recently. He decides to fight the criminal world of which he was a part recently.


During the game we have to play a number of missions from the main plot, as well as interesting side actions that significantly enrich the game. The main plot is to solve the mystery of a murder in New York. To this end, the character penetrates the criminal world undercover, looking for perpetrators of murder.


The next part of the series introduces a number of new possibilities. The hero can visit objects not related to the story, such as bars, hotels and apartments. Moving around the city is possible by cars, motorbikes, and also by subway. An interesting innovation is the system of interrogating caught criminals in order to obtain information and continue the investigation.
