Call of Cthulhu: Shadow of the Comet, is an adventure game released in 1993 by Infogrames. The game was released for PC (DOS).
The action of the game takes place in 1910. Young photographer John Parker arrives in the isolated town of Illmouth in New England to see and photograph the Halley Comet. In 1834, Lord Boleskine visited the city when he learned that certain conditions near the city allow astronomical objects to be seen more clearly and nearer than anywhere else on earth. He decided to check this theory by watching the comet from Illsmouth, but something unexpected happened and went crazy, spending the rest of his life in asylum. Parker, considering the incident from 1834 and reading the daily Boleskin, wants to avoid the fate of his predecessor and succeed. Whenever he comes to Illmouth, he senses the evil conspiracy ...
