The Ancient Art of War in the Skies is a strategy game released in 1992 by Microprose. The game was released for Amiga, Atari ST and PC (DOS).

The action of the game takes place during the First World War. As for the real-time strategy (RTS), most of your actions take place on a tactical map. On it, you plan routes and destinations for your aircraft. From the map you will also learn about the statistics of a given goal, eg about factories, at what time can produce the next plane, etc. As we have mentioned, you will spend most of the time planning activities on the map, but some elements of the game such as air combat or basking are shown from the action view ("side-scrolling "). There you will fight with the enemy or at the right moment drop the bombs on the target.
