Scorched Earth (Scorched Tanks for Amiga), a turn-based strategy game developed by Wendell Hicken in 1991 for PCs. The Amiga PC version was created in 1993.

In the game we control the tank. Your task is to eliminate your opponent (or opponents). You have a huge arsenal of weapons, each weapon has its own unique action and power. Besides offensive activities, you will have to protect your vehicle. In the game, dozens of screens have been applied.

Gameplay takes place in undulating terrain (generated randomly). Very important factors are: wind power, angle of operation and fire power. All these elements must be chosen in such a way as to destroy the enemies
The rules of the game as well as the gameplay were the prototype for the well-known Worms game. After the success of the latter, Scoreched Earth / Scorched Tanks have been forgotten. A pity ...

Install notes: The Amiga version loads to a certain point. The CLI window does not disappear. Move this window slightly down - so as to expose the Workbench. There you will have an icon by which you open the program Set 1Mb RAM Chip to fully enjoy the game.
