Rolo to the Rescue, an arcade game released in 1992 by Electronic Arts. The game was released for SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive.
Rolo to the Rescue is an interesting platform game about the escape of the elephant Rolo from the circus. Moving around the map and exploring the next levels, the elephant will have to save the trapped animals and finally free his mother.
The player moves across the board from left to right. Thanks to the items found along the way, Rolo gains additional abilities, e.g. shooting water from his trunk, hovering in the air, reducing the size or sucking in enemies. His enemies are usually malevolent hybrids (e.g. bloodthirsty plants), hostile animals and circus workers. In addition to the abilities mentioned earlier, Rolo can eliminate enemies by jumping on them. During the game, when our elephant frees other animals, he will be able to use their abilities. For example, a rabbit can jump higher, a beaver can swim, a squirrel can climb, and a mole can dig underground tunnels. To complete each level, you need to fulfill a specific goal. Most often, it is about finding a specific item or saving all animals from their cages.
