Police Quest IV: Open Season (other titles: Daryl F. Gates Police Quest: Open Season) is a game of adventure (point and click) issued in 1993 by Sierra On-Line. The game was released for PC (DOS).
The fourth game from the Police Quest series breaks with events that happened in previous parts. This is a completely new story in which detective John Carey from Los Angeles plays the main role. The action begins when Carey finds his best friend and former partner, officer Bob Hickman, murdered in the alley in the southern part of the city. In addition, he finds an eight-year-old boy named Bobby Washington, who was also murdered. Carey begins the investigation and hunts for a maniacal murderer.
