Description of GOLEM

Golem, a strategy game released in 2003 by Leryx Longsoft. The game is a true gem of the strategy genre. The game is set in an alternative past, where the world was divided into islands after a great catastrophe.

In the game, players can choose from three different factions, each with unique features and gameplay style. The first faction represents a traditional civilization that uses conventional methods of combat. The second faction are genetically mutated warriors who use biological and genetic weapons. The third faction is technologically advanced. The choice of faction affects the course of the campaign, which consists of various missions with different objectives.

The gameplay is a harmonious combination of economic management, city development and military operations. Players must focus on developing the economy, gathering resources, trading and developing technology. Building infrastructure such as ports, mines and fortifications is crucial to success. By developing an army consisting of a variety of naval, land and air units, players must strategically use their forces and gain an advantage over their enemies.

Golem also offers two different versions of the game. The first is a turn-based story strategy that allows you to get to know the story in depth and explore the game world. The second is a real-time strategy that provides dynamic and addictive gameplay that requires quick decisions and the ability to react to changing situations.

Visually, Golem may be a bit different from today's standards, considering that it was released in 2003. However, the game's atmosphere, well-designed locations and variety of units fully compensate for any graphical imperfections.

Golem is a highly polished strategy game with addictive gameplay and an interesting storyline. While it may lack the latest technological advancements, it's still a title worth trying out for strategy and alternative history buffs.
