"Barbie in The 12 Dancing Princesses" is a game based on the 2006 animated film of the same title. The story is loosely inspired by the fairy tale "The Twelve Dancing Princesses". In the game, Barbie takes on the role of Genevieve, one of the twelve princesses who lived with her widowed father, King Randolph. Their carefree life is disturbed when the king's cousin, Princess Rowena, comes to the castle to raise the girls as proper princesses. Unfortunately, Rowena makes their lives miserable and poisons the king, which forces the princesses to escape to the magical world. Rowena, however, traps them there along with Genevieve's friend Derek. To heal their father, they must use the chalice to collect magical water.
The game includes several mini-games, activated by entering large, rotating coins. One of the mini-games is a clone of Breakout, in which we control a cat that bounces an apple and has to break the leaves to find parts of the flute. In another location, Genevieve must throw berries towards the birds in the nest.
"Barbie in The 12 Dancing Princesses" is a magical journey to a fairy-tale kingdom where Barbie fights against adversities. The game combines elements of adventure, logical thinking and creativity. This is a game intended primarily for the youngest players.
