Alexander is an RTS (Real Time Strategy) game released in 2004 by Ubisoft, Inc. The plot of the game Alexander is based on the film of the same title and on the life of Alexander the Great. The game is based on the same action directions as in the film, the historical background of the events is faithfully reproduced. Greek, Persian, Indian and Egyptian forces take part in the skirmishes. Tactical duels have been improved through the use of hybrid 2D / 3D graphics, allowing a large number of military units to enter the battlefield, where battles can easily accommodate hundreds of units. The soundtrack composed by Vangelis was also taken from the film.


The player has to face a variety of Destroy / Survive / Escort missions. The scale of the battles is rich, especially when one of the many great battles of Alexander the great himself can be recreated.
