Zax: The Alien Hunter is an action game released in 2002 by JoWooD Productions Software. The game was released for PC (Windows).

Zax: The Alien Hunter is an adventure game in which we play the role of a castaway on an alien planet - the soldier of Zax. The crashed spacecraft is not the end of his troubles, as the planet is threatened by a supernova explosion and Zax must get out of it before the planet is destroyed. The population of this foreign land is friendly but has long been persecuted by aggressive, leadership robots that have taken over the planet. Zax becomes involved in a conflict and must help the local people regain control of the planet.


There are 20 missions to complete in the game, and the tasks to be performed are finding parts necessary to repair a crashed spaceship and fighting enemy robots, including Scorpo Flyer and Higher Orb Slayer. There are many weapons at the player's disposal with different properties, and each opponent needs to be selected an appropriate combat method. The game also offers a multiplayer mode via the local network or the Internet.
