Tex Murphy: The Pandora Directive is an adventure game released in 1996 by Access Software. The game was released for Macintosh and PC (DOS).

In the game, we play the role of a private detective Tex Murphe, who investigates a mysterious case. The action of the game takes place in San Francisco, in the near future, in the year 2043. It is a world devastated by World War III, in which people had to completely change their lifestyle, and many of them were affected by mutations caused by radioactive weapons. Tex Murphy is hired to investigate the disappearance of scientist Thomas Malloy, and soon it turns out that a UFO is also possibly involved. Most of the time, the player interrogates witnesses and collects clues, located in hard-to-see nooks and crannies. During the investigation, you also have to solve many logical puzzles. Each player's decision makes the events play out differently - in Tex Murphy: The Pandora Directive there are 6 different endings! There are two difficulty levels to choose from in the game: Entertainment with simplified puzzles and hints, or Game Players for more skilled players.
