Belief & Betrayal is a game with a very dark storyline about the church and faith. The hero, functioning partially in the three-dimensional world, is seen by the player from the point of view of a third person.

Jonathan Danter is a journalist whose role the player has the opportunity to play on the occasion of this title. While preparing for an interview with the cardinal, one rainy November day, a journalist receives a phone call informing him about the tragedy. A caller from London, a Scotland Yard detective, tells Jonathan that his uncle was brutally murdered. The news of a stabbed uncle baffles the journalist twice as Danter was convinced that his uncle had been dead for ten years.

For a long time, Jonathan checks in on the plane and flies to England, wanting to solve the mysterious matter as soon as possible. This starts the dominoes of exciting events that lead the journalist to uncover a conspiracy that dates back more than two thousand years to the beginning of Christianity. Jonathan Danter must not only look for answers to a lot of questions that appear at various stages of the game, but also fight for his life.
