Space Invaders, a skill game released in 1978 (first version of the game) by Taito. The game has been released for most home PCs and consoles (eg Atari 2600).

Space Invaders is a typical shoot'em up game. The player's goal is to eliminate all the aliens on the board and collect as many points as possible. Your gun is your only weapon. In addition, there are shields behind which you can hide. The shields are unfortunately unbreakable - they are weakened (until eventually destroyed) after each alien hit.

Space Invaders was one of the pioneers of electronic entertainment. The alien invitations from Space Invaders are still present in many publications, events (such as logos), web pages or movies (eg Pixele).

The game you can download from our site is unfortunately not the original version - however, it is worth to start and play this cult position.
