Shadowrun is an action role-play game from 1994 based on the textbook of the same title prepared by FESA.


Its action takes place in 2058 after the so-called Awakening, after which magic and fantastic creatures like elves and orcs returned to the world. A small detachment of mercenaries (shadowrunners) is brutally murdered in the wild, and the recording of this crime is available on news stations. Joshua, the brother of one of the victims, arrives in Seattle and decides to find out the true causes of the death of a family member. First, however, he will have to find out who hired shadowrunners and why.


Shadowrun is an action-oriented production, before starting the game, the player has the option to choose a character class between samurai, decker and shaman. Each profession represents a different style. The first one is an example of a typical warrior who fights perfectly in hand-to-hand and distance combat with all kinds of firearms. Decker is a smart hacker who can enter the network (Matrix) and, after breaking security, use it for his own purposes. The shaman is a magic-sensitive character that can cast combat and support spells. Each profession has some drawbacks, but the player can reduce their nuisance by employing an additional AI-controlled character.
