The action of the game begins in 1936, and its main character is an authentic character - Robert Ripley - the creator of a gallery of peculiarities spanning various media (including comics and films). He is attacked and robbed by unknown perpetrators. It turns out that the torturers were looking for clues about the legendary master Lu, the sage and adviser to the first emperor of China in his collections. In his writings there is information about a magical amulet, thanks to which you can unite Asian countries. The protagonist decides to find him first.


Ripley's Believe It or Not !: The Riddle of Master Lu is a point & click production that requires players to be perceptive and creative. It is often necessary to find well-hidden items to push the plot forward. During his adventure, the protagonist visits a number of locations, including New York, Easter Islands, the Indian state of Sikkim and the Free City of Gdańsk. Each of them has an additional, bonus task.


The game has many tasks and conversations with other heroes, including postal correspondence, which is of great importance for the plot.
