Iron Assault is an action game released in 1995 by Virgin Interactive Entertainment. The game was released for PC (DOS).

The action of Iron Assault takes place in the world of the future, which has been dominated by powerful corporations. Over the years, they gradually took control of the entire world, and over time gained unlimited power over all people. They keep it thanks to megabots, combat units that brutally pacify all manifestations of rebellion. The player takes the side of the rebels and sets out to fight the oppressors.


The production is a first-person simulator in which the user takes part in a series of missions of increasing difficulty. The tasks are varied, they take place in one of 4 scenery: desert, city, arctic or mountain. Before each mission, the player has the option to choose one of the two machines, as well as choose the appropriate weapon. In Iron Assault, the damage received by the megabot is of great importance. Different parts of the machine can be damaged, which initially manifests itself in the worse functioning of individual segments (including combat equipment, engine or hydraulics), and ultimately leads to their shutdown.
