Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is an adventure game released in 2002 by Electronic Arts. The game was released for Macintosh, PC (Windows), GameCube, PlayStation and XBox consoles.

An adventure game showing the fate of a young wizard known from books by J.K. Rowling and a series of films from Warner Bros. Its main character is the title Harry Potter, who is just starting his second year of studies at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In this installment, the brave boy and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger will undertake the mission of finding the legendary Chamber of Secrets. This secret place may hold one of the greatest secrets of Slytherine House.


Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a simple arcade production that younger audiences will find well. Players have the opportunity to take part in characteristic events known from the pages of the novel. So they take, for example, a Weasley car flight, which ends with a daring landing on the Whomping Willow. The game is based on numerous mini-games, participation in lessons, magic duels or sports struggles in Quidditch.


In addition to standard missions, the player can move around the Hogwarts area relatively freely. However, with younger audiences in mind, the locations have been somewhat simplified so that navigating them is not a problem. An interesting element of the production is collecting beans of all flavors of Bertie Botta, which can then be exchanged for wizard cards at the Weasley brothers.
