Escape from Monkey Island belongs to the genre of adventure games. The game is the fourth part of the adventures of the young pirate - Guybrush Threepwood, from Monkey Island. Pirate, in earlier installments won the hearts of millions of fans of adventure games. The game is a direct continuation of the previous one. The game begins when Guybrush returns from his honeymoon with his chosen heart Elain. After returning to the island of Melee, it turns out that his beloved was declared dead and elections for the new governor were announced on the island. This time, however, a counter-candidate appeared in the person of the mysterious Charles L. Charles. Additionally - Elaine`s residence is to be demolished, and Guybrush is given the task of stopping demolition.

The player takes the role of the main character, visits the islands of Melee and Monkey, known from earlier games. In addition, in the game we will be able to explore completely new, unknown areas, such as: Jambalaya and Lucre. During his travels, Guybrush meets privateers, sinister characters and adventurers. During the journey, he solves various puzzles and tasks.
