Description of DUNE II

Dune II. Battle for Arrakis or The Building of a Dynasty, a real time strategy game (RTS). A game released in 1992 by Virign Interactive for PCs, later in 1993, the game appeared for Amiga computers.

The game is a continuation of the great game which was undoubtedly Dune. The goal of the game is to gain control of the planet Duna, which is the only source of precious spices. When you play, you decide which country you will be playing. You have three choices: Atrides, Harkonnen and Ordos. From now on you have to perform nine missions. Each mission (as in games of this type) consists in developing its own base, defending it and carrying out attacks against opponents.

Dune II has largely outlined the development of later RTS games. It was one of the first games of its kind and many of its features remained in recent releases (eg Command and Conquer).
