Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat is an arcade game referring to a book for children developed by the writer Dr. Seuss, as well as its 2003 adaptation.


On a rainy day, the Walden siblings Sally and Conrad pay an unexpected visit by the cheerful Cat in the Hat, parading in a striped hat. Thanks to carefree play, the guest brings a smile to the faces of children. Meanwhile, the sibling's neighbor Larry Quinn opens Kota's magic chest, thereby flooding the Walden's house with magic. A playboy in a hat will have to do whatever it takes to save the world from the chaos that this act will bring.


This is a typical platform production in which the player's main task is to collect collectibles, defeat enemies, and jump on numerous footbridges and avoid traps. One of the special abilities of the Cat is the ability to glide on an umbrella, thanks to which the user can cover long distances and hover over precipices. To make it easier, each level is divided into several checkpoints - this way, the player does not have to return to the beginning of the level after each defeat.
