The next installment of games from the Army Men series, in which toy soldiers played the main role. Unlike Sarge's Heroes, in this installment the producers decided to move away from the humorous environment in favor of a relatively realistic, dark plot.


The story focuses on the fate of the title Sarge, who in the fight for the city of Greentown faces an army of enemy bronze Tan soldiers. Not only does he manage to turn the tide of the clash, but also force the invaders to surrender. Victory, however, has a bitter taste, it soon turns out that a certain Lord Malice is planning to create a new army with the help of stolen resources. In addition, the reconnaissance group fighting on the side of the greens did not return from the last mission. Sarge rushes into a fight that will take him not only to the enemy front, but also to the human world.


Army Men: Sarge's War is a first-person shooter in which the player's task is to break through hordes of plastic soldiers. There are 9 types of weapons at his disposal (machine gun or rocket launcher). Enemies are endowed with extensive artificial intelligence, prompting them to look for covers and flank Sarge. An interesting solution used in the game is to show the real damage that the weapon causes on the plastic bodies of enemies.
