9: The Last Resort is a surreal point and click adventure game released in 1996 by Tribeca Interactive.

During the game, the player takes on the role of a man who inherited from his uncle Thurston Last received an unusual property, i.e. Last Resort. It is a building, the entire structure of which is based on hundreds of corridors, hidden passages and nooks and crannies that can be accessed using quite eccentric mechanisms. Once this place was famous and attracted many guests, but in the absence of his uncle, its interior was taken over by a grotesque couple, the so-called Toxic Twins. They made the interior dark and unpleasant. It is their presence that destroys all order in the building. The main goal of the hero is to tame the villains and restore the building to its former glory. He has to do everything to repair the defective Muses Machine, i.e. nine carers who watch over the entire hotel, and deal with the twins that are raging after it. To do this, the player will have to solve many puzzles of varying difficulty that will be waiting for him in different places.
