Description of SYSTEM SHOCK

System Shock (other titles: Alien Commander) is a FPS game (with RPG elements) released in 1994 by Origin Systems. The game was released for PC (DOS), Macintosh and PC-98.

It's the year 2072. You play as a hacker. When you break into the TriOptimum Corporation systems, you have been arrested and taken to Citadel Station. There you get an offer from the president of the company TriOptimum - for help in shaking the network SHODAN (Sentient Hyper-Optimized Data Access Network) all allegations will be withdrawn and you will get a valuable implant. SHODAN is an artificial intelligence controlling Citadel Station. Without thinking, you decide to take on the task. Before the action, you removed all the ethical constraints of AI (SHODAN networks) and underwent implantation surgery.

You wake up after six months in a terrifying reality. With the ethical constraints removed, SHODAN took control of the station, reprogrammed all robots and machines and disposed of crew members (transforming them into mutants and cyborgs or killing them). Rebecca Lansing, consultant for the fight against terrorism TriOptimum, contacted you, informing you of an even more frightening possible future: the SHODAN plan is to use station mining lasers to annihilate all life on Earth. Traveling through the space station corridors, you must destroy the SHODAN network. From now on, the fate of the Earth depends on you.
