"S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat" is the third part of the cult series of computer games that develops the story of the mysterious and dangerous Zone around the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The game was released in 2009 by the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World and is a direct continuation of the events presented in the previous parts, "S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl" and "S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky".
The action of "S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat" takes place after the events of the first part of the series. Players take on the role of Lieutenant Alexei Degtyarov, who is sent to a contaminated zone to investigate a mysterious military helicopter accident in the Zona area. As Degtyarov penetrates the danger zone, he discovers numerous puzzles, factional conflicts, and dangers such as anomalies and powerful mutants.
The lieutenant's main goal is to discover the truth about the helicopter crash and try to understand what is happening inside the Zone. However, the Zone is not a friendly place, and every step inside it is full of dangers.
