Plague of the Moon is an adventure game released in 1994 by Rebelsoft. The player takes on the role of Alucarda, a beginner sorceress whose goal is to avenge her mother. Many centuries ago, Alucarda's mother Margaret entered the gates of the Black Death looking for supporters and protection among a pagan group in honor of the devil. By participating in demonic rituals, Margaret's strength and skill grew steadily. It made her a powerful sorceress, which did not save her from a cruel death. Sentenced to be burned by the Bloody Judge, Margaret managed to cast a terrible curse and ask her daughter to avenge her fate.


This is how we return to Alucarda. The player controlling the heroine starts from scratch. Alucarda doesn't have any skills, only her vigilance and curiosity will allow her to develop her inherited talent. Be careful, explore your surroundings, collect items and solve puzzles, and you'll be able to fulfill Mother Alucarda's last wish.
