In Millennia: Altered Destinies we control a protagonist named McDonald. He is an astronaut and on his first day in space he is torn from his own world by a hooded figure. She tells us that she snatched our hero because she needs his help in saving her own galaxy. The threat is posed by organisms called Microids that spread across the galaxy and destroy everything in their path as they move from planet to planet. Our task is to stop their sinister crusade. From a mysterious character, we get a spaceship on which we travel through the galaxy and in time, and which accompanies us during the game. We are assured that, after completing the mission, we will be restored to the point in time and the world from which we were uprooted. Our advisor is the on-board computer of our new ship - Angus. There are also several rooms on board, and each of them has a different function, incl. map and route mapping. There is nothing left for us to do but travel around the planets, complete missions and fight to regain control of the galaxy.
