Defender of the Crown is a strategy game created in 1986. The game was released by Cinemaware. The original was made for Amiga computers (1986). The game was also released for C64, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Macintosh and PC computers.
The game`s action takes place in medieval England. After the death of the king, your role is to unite the kingdom divided between self-proclaimed rulers. You can choose between four characters: Wilfred of Ivanhoe, Cedric of Rotherwood, Geoffrey Longsword or Wolfric the Wild. In the game, you can capture territories, invade castles or fight battles in the open field. In the game you have the opportunity to organize tournaments to get money for further activity and subsequent conquests. From time to time you can ask for the help of the legendary bog, which is Robin Hood.
The game despite the passage of years, does not lose its gameplay. Despite the fact that the game is very thin - in fact, game control reduced to several menus - it is very addictive. Graphics are on a decent level (version for Amiga). Surely every strategist should play Defender of the Crown.
Install notes:
Due to the fact that the game was created a long time ago, the version for Amiga requires an original rom, e.g. Kickstart 1.3. The game does not require additional memory, just 512kB RAM chip.

Muy bueno, lo jugué en Atari ST y tengo un muy buen recuerdo de este juego. La versión PC dejaba mucho que desear en cuanto a calidad de gráficos, no estaba a la altura. Un juego muy adictivo y que recordaré siempre.
