Sonic Riders is an exciting 2006 racing game published by Sega for platforms such as PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and PC.

Sonic Riders is set in a futuristic world where Sonic and his friends are drawn into the Ultimate Extreme Gear Tournament (U.G.T.). In this tournament, participants compete on air skateboards, called Extreme Gear, in various locations such as cities, tropical islands and mysterious ruins. Sonic and his team must defeat a team of villains known as the Babylon Rogues.

In Sonic Riders we will find three game modes, story mode, multiplayer and single race. In the story mode, players will be able to take on the role of characters such as Sonic, Tails and Knuckles as they compete against other characters in a series of challenges. Players must master air skateboarding techniques such as drifting, turbocharging and stunts to gain an edge over their rivals.

An important element of the game is a system called "Graffiti", which allows players to paint special symbols on the racing track. Using these symbols brings measurable benefits, such as shortening the route, slowing down rivals or gaining additional power.

The 2006 Sonic Riders game went down in the history of the Sonic series, being the first game in which the main character uses a skateboard during the race. Additional cars of the game were undoubtedly dynamic gameplay, impressive graphics and energetic soundtrack.
