MTV Celebrity Deathmatch is a brawl based on the popular series of the same title. The player takes on the role of famous characters from the world of show business, politics, as well as fictional and historical characters. The game is distinguished by an unconventional sense of humor, also known from the TV prototype. Heroes do not deal classic punches, such as kicks or punches. Each character attacks in a different form, characteristic for a given character, thanks to which Tommy Lee vomits Jack Daniels, Cindy Margolis shoots lasers from his chest and the Alien can summon a spaceship, which will additionally attack the enemy from the air.
The player, along with the intensity of the attack, also fills in the MTV logo, after which he is able to deal a fatal blow to the opponent. Characters can also mock the audience and equip themselves with power-ups and weapons appearing on the board. These upgrades are individual for each character. The celebrities who appeared in the game include: Denis Rodman, Mr. T, Busta Rhymes, Marilyn Manson, Carmen Electra, Ron Jeremy, Justin Timberlake, Shannen Doherty, as well as famous fictional characters such as Frankenstein, cousin Grimm or the werewolf.
