Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos, is an RPG game released in 1993 by Virgin Interactive. The game was released for PC (DOS).

King Richard, the lord of the Gladstone Fortress, received the news that Scotia, the old witch, won a ring called the Nether Mask (Mask Nether), which allows you to take any form or magical power. The King sends the player to search for the Ruby of Truth, which will allow him to defeat the witch of Scotia.

At the beginning of the game you will have to choose a hero. In the game, you have to choose:

- Ak'shel - wizard familiar with magic ropes,

- Michael - a powerful warrior,

- Kieran - master of dodging and thievery, and

- Conrad - combines all the above features, making it the most universal.

Initially, you will travel alone. As the game progresses, you'll gain more companions. Similarly to other role-playing games of this type, the characters run by the player gain experience, collect items and use them in further struggles.
