Sid Meier`s Civilization III is a strategy game released in 2001 by Infogrames. The game was released for Macintosh and PC (Windows).
Civilization III is a turn-based strategy in which our task is to lead one of 16 nations to dominance around the world. To this end, we are forced to build cities, use the resources available within their borders, establish colonies, build wonders of the world and everything that is necessary to take a few steps forward with each turn.
The game begins in 4000 BC and ends when the victory conditions are met. At first, time passes quickly, our civilization is developing slowly, and the neighbors are not idle too. As we progress, we gain technology points, manage the economy of individual cities, develop the army and negotiate with our neighbors. We declare wars and fight for the protection of our own lands and civilians.
The game is presented in an isometric view, and all our activities take place on a nicely refined map. We find lands, seas, lakes, rivers, mountains, forests, deserts and other elements of the terrain, the use of which is crucial for each game. In addition, natural goods are scattered across the maps.
