Rise of the Triad: Dark War, is a FPS game released in 1994 by Apogee Software. The game was released for PC (DOS).

A team of special agents, known as HUNT (a high-risk UN task force), is sent to the island of San Nicolas to examine the activities of the cult and rituals performed in the ancient monastery. The boat of agents, the only way back, is destroyed by a patrol. The team learns that the sect plans to destroy Los Angeles. The agents finally decide to liquidate the sect.

The player can choose between several characters: Taradino Cassatt, Thi Barrett, Lorelei Ni, Doug Wendt and Ian Paul Freeley. Each character has unique features; for example, Doug Wendt moves quite slowly, but can withstand a particularly large amount of damage, while Lorelei Ni has less hit points, but is very fast and accurate.

Rise of the Triad is a typical representative of the FPS genre. To complete the task, you will have to kill all the enemies encountered, using the found weapons, ammunition, etc.
