R-type, arcade game released in 1987 by Irem Corp. The game has appeared on many home computers and consoles. Version for Amiga computers was founded in 1989.

The object of the game is to save humanity from alien life forms, known as "Bodo". Your mission is a dozen or so levels, each ending with a fight with the boss. At your disposal was the R-9 space ship, armed with an improbable gun. However, during the game you will gain various bonuses as well as armor and shields.

The game was popular in the days when 8-bit computers (C64, ZX Spectrum) dominated the desks. A game for fans of arcade games and of course R-Type.
