Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown is a remake of the cult Cinemaware studio production released in 1986.


The title is a free adaptation of the legend of the famous English robber who robbed the rich and distributed their fortune to the poor. A noble bandit from the Sherwood Forests confronts the Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John, thus helping King Richard the Lionheart.


Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown is a mix of different genres. An important element of the production are fencing duels, in which it is necessary to maneuver between different types of attacks (powerful stab with a sword or swing), parrying and countering. In turn, during ambushes, the title turns into a typical sight, based on eliminating targets with a bow. The strategic smartness is based on participation in clashes of troops and sieges of fortresses in a form reminiscent of classic board games. The player's task is to conquer all territories on the map of England, and his actions may lead to one of 8 endings.
