Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is an action game with puzzle elements released in 1997 by GT Interactive Software. The game was released for PC (DOS / Windows), PlayStation, PSP and PS Vita.
In the game, we play the role of Abe, a representative of the slave Mudokon race, used to work in a meat factory. Under the discovery that in the near future, slaves await death, he decides to escape from the factory and save his "compatriots". The plot successfully mixes the gloomy atmosphere with black humor and somewhat fairy-tale motifs. Fitting in with the assumptions of history, the player's main goal is to escape from the dark complex and free as many Mudokons as possible scattered throughout the game. This is a difficult challenge because the map was packed to the brim with more or less complex logic puzzles, and death awaits Abe at every turn. The hero has, however, rich abilities to move and act, which includes running, sneaking, rolling, jumping or throwing stones. Interestingly, in order to combine the plot as smoothly as possible with gameplay, the traditional graphical interface was abandoned. All the information you need is displayed naturally in the game world.
