Description of BLACK LAMP

Black Lamp is an arcade game released in 1988 by Firebird Software. The game was released for Amiga, Atrai 8bit, Atari ST, C64 and ZX Spectrum.

Black Lamp has a story set in medieval times, specifically in the magical kingdom of Allegory, where dragons are prowling. The main character is a jester, in love with a princess. In order to get her father's permission to marry, he decides to get the Black Lamp, which was a protection against monsters.
In the game, we play the role of a jester whose goal is to reach the place where the dragon has its hideout, and then take the enchanted Lamp from him. The game world is divided into areas: castle, defensive walls, forest, village and mysterious catacombs. Our goal is to find nine lamps, each of a different color. Then we have to take them to one of the shelves in the labyrinth. An additional difficulty is that you can only lift one at a time. The lamps are placed randomly around the world. The last piece, the Black Lamp, is guarded by the dragon - you can get it only by finding it and killing it. After taking it to the cupboard, you go to the next stage, where two of the 9 lamps are black, so you have to kill 2 dragons this time. Each stage includes one more Black Lamp. The game world is a labyrinth, divided into chambers, and the jester is hindered in achieving his goal by various monsters, knights and witches.
