Jack the Ripper is an adventure game released in 1995 by GameTek. The game was released for PC (DOS).
The plot is about a young reporter who conducts his own investigation into mysterious disappearances. It's 1901, so the methods of operation are completely different. However, despite the differences between the 21st century and the 19th century, the main character finds similar details between his investigation and the 1888 murders of Jack the Ripper. She begins to wonder if this is just an unusual coincidence. The reporter begins to really get into his investigation - he is browsing forgotten archives, exploring places he would not normally have access to, talking to doctors, sending Morse cables. All of these actions are expected to ultimately lead to the capture of the perpetrator, but what are the chances of our success? The player has a unique opportunity to get caught up in a vortex of dark, difficult, logical puzzles and seemingly unbreakable ciphers. At the same time, the whole thing is kept in a full of horror night atmosphere. The plot is much more focused on analytical reasoning than dealing with excessive bloodshed and the sight of victims of brutal murders.
