Strider is an arcade game published by U. S. Gold. The game was released for Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, C64, PC (DOS), ZX Spectrum, Sega Mester System and Sega Genesis consoles.

The action of the game takes place in 2048. These are the times when a mysterious dictator known as the "Grandmaster" rules the world cruelly and evil. The player takes on the role of Hiryu. He is a member of the organization of high-tech ninja warriors, the youngest of its members to achieve the rank of "Super A". The fighters who are part of this organization are known as the title "Striders". Hiryu receives a lonely mission to kill the evil dictator Grandmaster. Hiryu begins his mission by infiltrating the capital of Grandmaster located in Kazakhstan, which belongs to the Soviet Union. This place became the capital of the Russian Empire.


Character control is very easy and intuitive, and the game is divided into five main stages. The first is the Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan, the second is the Siberian wilderness. The third stage takes place in an aircraft combat ship called the Balrog. The fourth stage is the Amazon jungle, and the fifth and final stage is the fight with the main enemy in his residence.
