In Hugo: Quest for the Sunstones, we play the role of a troll named Hugo who lives in the village of Kikurian. The so far peaceful village is now in danger because the witch Scylla gives the order to get rid of its inhabitants. Scylla's servants closed the entrance to the crater with a large boulder, so that a volcano near the village could erupt at any moment. Hugo sets out to save his village. To help his friends, he is required to find three magic hats that contain sun stones. The stones have been hidden in places such as: the old Inca pyramid, a snowy cave in the mountains and the old pirate grotto. If the troll's plan is successful, Scylla will be pulled into a tornado, and the inhabitants of Kikurian will not have to worry about the fate of their place of residence. However, in a situation where Hugo makes any mistake and his mission fails, he will be thrown into the dungeon of a cruel witch.
