AEGIS: Guardian of the Fleet, a simulation game released in 1994 by Time Warner Interactive. The game was released for PC (DOS).
This classic sea simulator gives us the opportunity to play the role of the captain of the American Ticonderoga missile cruiser. The game features over 100 different mission-based missions performed by real naval officers. These missions are usually based on destroying enemy targets (not only ships, but also e.g. coastal facilities), carrying out reconnaissance or escorting allied units. The main advantage is the high degree of realism, ensuring a faithful representation of the conditions prevailing during modern battles on the seas. The famous Aegis system used to direct the fire from modern American ships was very well reflected. The player can use radar, sonar, and a variety of weapons - from torpedoes to anti-aircraft guns. We can also command an entire squadron of ships or manage operations carried out by ships from a distance, giving orders to our subordinates using a tactical map and radio.
