Republic: The Revolution is a strategy game released in 2003 by Eidos Interactive Limited. The action takes place in the Novistran republic ruled by a dictator who does not care about the whole of society. Corruption, poverty and fear are spreading in the streets. All manifestations of rebellion are quickly eliminated, but there is someone who will try to pick up the gauntlet again.


The protagonist of the game is a political activist who tries to overthrow a ruthless dictator and establish new governments. When creating your character, the player has to answer a few questions that determine the personality of the main character. We start our activities practically from scratch. Our hero has no friends, contacts, or even family (on the dictator's orders, the whole family was kidnapped). By taking a series of successive steps, from hiring henchmen, bribing officers, blackmailing, assaulting and even murdering, our character gains enough strength and power to liberate the nation or become the new dictator himself.
