A game that will surely satisfy fans of strategy games that require extraordinary thinking. Birthright: The Gorgon's Alliance is a turn-based strategy game set in the Land of Anuire, on the Cerilia continent. The player takes on the role of one of the heirs of the royal throne, whose goal is to take over the world. Two characters can be used in the game - a ruler or a regent, who is the person who exercises power on behalf of the monarch.
The object of the game is to gain power and influence in the shadows among other regents who also have evil plans to conquer Anuire. To achieve victory, the player can use a variety of warfare, use diplomacy, magic, and manipulate estates such as guilds and temples. You can also establish new trade routes. All activities take place in turn-based mode on the world map, except for adventures that take place in real 3D.
A well-thought-out strategy of the game is very important, e.g. if during the game the player does not obtain the necessary complementary spells before embarking on a journey, then he loses the journey and is forced to start the turn again. There are also interesting battle elements in the game - for example, the player can let the computer roll dice to determine the outcome of the battle based on the character's attributes, or he can enter the battlefield himself.
In order to win the game, you need to collect a certain number of points, depending on the difficulty level. It may be necessary to take control of allied territories or those belonging to the so-called Gorgons. The game can be won in several ways, depending on the adopted character development strategy.
